Can I close remotely if I live out of state?

You do not have to come back to North Carolina

One of the biggest worries for out-of-state sellers is "I cannot come back for closing." You do not have to. Many of our relocation sellers have already moved before their closing date.

You can accept our offer, sign the documents from wherever you are, and receive your funds by wire transfer to your bank account on the closing date. There is no physical check to wait for and no flight to book.

Three ways to sign

Mail with a local notary. We FedEx the closing documents to your new address. You take them to a local notary, a UPS Store, a bank, sometimes a library, sign, get them stamped and notarized, and FedEx them back.

Remote Online Notarization. You get on a video call with a notary and sign digital documents while they watch.

Power of attorney. If you would rather authorize someone else to sign for you, a spouse, an attorney, a trusted family member, that works too.

If you are active-duty military, on-base notaries work, and we have done closings with sellers at duty stations overseas and across the country.

Why this matters when you are moving

Relocating sellers usually have 30 to 90 days before they need to be gone, while a traditional sale takes 60 to 180 days. That gap is where the two-mortgage months come from, and where the misery of coordinating showings and repairs from 500 miles away lives.

A cash sale closes the gap. We close in 14 to 30 days without requiring repairs, showings or in-person meetings, and once you accept, the house stops being your problem to manage from a distance.

You also do not need to empty the place. Take what you want, leave what you do not, and we handle the rest after closing. There is no trash-out fee.
